In a time when there is abundant food and advances in medical science why is it that there is such an increase in childhood conditions such as ADD/ADHD, asthma, allergies and the Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

We are often concerned about the toxins surrounding us in the environment, but what happens to our bodies when we ingest them.  For some people, these toxins can be as simple as gluten, dairy, additives and salicylates.

Our diet can affect our behaviour, our ability to focus, our health. There is significant research to show that following a healthy, real food diet can have a beneficial impact on our kids.  Evidence also highlights the connection between the gastrointestinal, immune and nervous systems and the impact that this can have on our biomedical health.

The nutritional approach may include one or all of the following:

  • Altering the diet to remove the foods which your child may be intolerant to.  This may be diary, gluten, colours, flavours, preservatives, salicylates
  • Treating any digestion issues and healing the ‘leaky gut’
  • Supplementation as required, in consultation with your GP
